Mount Kisco Police Report March 30 - April 4

Sunday, March 30

5:17 p.m. — Police responded to a report of two men fighting outside the Green Street precinct. Officers returned to the precinct and detained two men they observed walking away from the area. One of the men said the other had challenged him to a fight on South Moger Avenue and then followed him to Green Street, where a fight occurred. The man who was followed did not want to press charges.

4:30 p.m. — A 54-year-old man was arrested on a bench warrant charging him with failing to appear in Mount Kisco Justice Court to answer summonses issued last summer. The man was arrested when an officer conducting an inspection at a laundromat on Main Street recognized him. He was arraigned and released pending an April 10 appearance in village court.

Monday, March 31

11:25 p.m. — Officers were requested to conduct a welfare check on a Lexington Avenue resident who went to the emergency room but left before receiving treatment for a laceration. When officers located the man, he said he had just called a friend for a ride back to Northern Westchester Hospital. The friend arrived and took the man back to the ER.

7:25 p.m. — Police responded to a report of public lewdness occurring in the area of Dunkin Donuts on East Main Street. Officers located a man behind the building who was exposing himself and took him into custody. He also had an open can of beer in his possession. The 43-year-old man was booked at the Green Street Precinct on a charge of public lewdness, a misdemeanor. He was also issued a summons for public consumption of alcohol. He is to answer the charges in Mount Kisco Justice Court on April 24.

6:30 p.m. — A Lexington Avenue man was arrested after an officer observed him with an open can of beer on Dakin Avenue. While issuing a summons, the officer determined there was an outstanding warrant for the man’s arrest issued by Westchester County Family Court. The 21-year-old was transported to the Westchester County Jail and held pending an appearance in Family Court the next day.

4:57 p.m. — Multiple summonses for village code violations were issued after officers conducted an inspection of a wooded area and trailway off Lieto Drive. Six men received summonses for public consumption of alcohol and three others received summonses for public consumption and littering.

Friday, April 4

1:04 a.m. — Police received a report of two youths yelling and possibly fighting outside a building on Barker Street. Officers located two teenagers below the age of 18, one of whom was crying. It was determined that their dispute was verbal in nature only. Due to the hour and age of the youths, their parents were notified. An officer drove a boy home to Bedford Hills and escorted the other teen back to her family’s apartment.

7:14 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a person who left her West Street residence in an emotional state and was threatening to harm herself. Officers obtained a description of her car and canvassed the area, but were unable to locate it. After learning that the woman had relatives in Mohegan Lake, an officer from the Cortlandt precinct was requested to check for her there. She was found with relatives and agreed to go to Westchester Medical Center for mental health services. She was taken by American Medical Response ambulance.
